My jobs vol.1 ー Written by guy ー

Since coming to japan I have had 2 jobs so far.

The first one being a pick packer at a 7/11 factory, this work was hard because it was still summer and very very hot.

You were given an order list and you had to pick the boxes for that order.

The boxes of drinks weren’t heavy at first but after 8 hours and not much rest, they became heavy and you would sweat so much.

I drank a 2 litre bottle of water everyday while working here just to keep hydrated.

I quickly looked for another job as I didn’t like this one so much.

I ended up at Kansai airport working for the airport limousine bus company.

Basically they have a list of bus stops and people would line up for whatever place they want to go.

Then you would ask where they were going, mark it down on the tag and stick it to there luggage.
The bus would come and you would load up the luggage as quickly as you could sometimes you only had 5 minutes or less.

People would always show up at the last minute wanting to get on and it would make the bus driver angry if you had to make them wait.

Nearly all the staff at this job are age 55+ old men.

The oldest was 81 years old and still loading luggage into the bus.
I really liked the staff at this job they were all nice and pretty fun old dudes.

But I was only on a training period which meant 8 hour days (9am ~ 6pm)
Which was okay with me but then they told me that after the training period I would be working 6am ~ 7:30pm which was just too much.

So I had to find another job, this time I found a kindergarten teacher job at Kinder Kids.

I start my training on Tuesday and will be working at my new workplace the week after !
